Public Speaking

I sometimes speak at public events, schools,s and companies in order to give people tools to move their lives and careers forward. I've had the opportunity to speak at New York University multiple times, along with Actor's Connection and The Actor's Green Room. I have also spoken at numerous high schools.

Topics of focus range from life coaching and goal setting to marketing and branding for businesses and understanding and taking control of the unconscious mind and our emotions.

The question I focus on every day:

How can I help those around me develop the habit of consistently moving their lives forward?
My goal is not to create dependency, but to help each person I speak with develop a psychology of success with outside the box thinking and a goal-oriented mindset.

Not sure yet? Hire the right coach for you.

If you're still shopping around for a life or business coach, I want to make sure whoever you choose does the best possible job. Keep in mind these things when looking:

  1. Your coach shouldn't be the "warm and fuzzy" type. Yes, they should be friendly and professional, but there is also a need for critique and honest feedback. Someone who only focuses on the good and sugarcoats the bad is not going to help you.
  2. Your coach must have a deep knowledge of specifics. This is not the place for guess work. Your coach must know specific strategies or be able to introduce you to people who do. If they're telling you to "be more focused" and "live join happiness," they might not be the best choice because that's not specific.
  3. Attitude is a no no. Your coach should never be condescending to you during the session. You'll know right away that they aren't there to help you, but are instead there to feel better about themselves. Yes, this happens. Work with someone who gives you tough love and inspires you to grow, and is at a higher level in their own life than you are.
  4. Your coach should not take a percentage of anything that you earn. Coaches generally do not make a commission. You pay for your session in advance but no matter how successful you become, a coach should not see a percentage of it unless you mutually agree to it beforehand.
  5. Your coach should follow up with you. You don't want to hire a coach who doesn't hold you accountable when you fail to complete a goal you set. Make sure your coach drags you to the finish line, no matter what it takes.

  4. Feedback and critique on all aspects of your life and career.
